The "Golden Way" is not only a tourism
circuit, made by multiple traces in Rosia Montana's region, but
it's also a concept around which we desire to build a favourable
framework for the sustainable development alternative to the mining,
by the integration of the region in the categories which benefit
of "Green Ways" initiatives.
We proposed to realize the following objectives:
1. Identification of the traditional customs bound to the mining
and to others aspects which belong to local identity in Rosia Montana
and the surroundings.
2. Promoting local values using the "Gold Road".
3. Participation of Rosia Montana's inhabitants in activities which
can generate alternative incomes.
Through implementing the first stage of the project we will demonstrate
that Rosia Montana is not a monoindustrial region and the potential
of the alternative development of the mining exist, and it must
be exploited. The inhabitants will be encouraged to explore and
to reclaim the region's customs through small economical initiatives.
The stagnation due to the presence of the Canadian investment in
this region will be stopped by a first effective step towards to
a sustainable development.
